The Well of Frogs is a 32-page city and dungeon adventure for 1st to 2nd level characters, written by Istvan Boldog-Bernad. Set in the crumbling metropolis of Cassidum, the adventure begins in a rough and lawless neighborhood ruled by thieves, guilds, and feuding lowlives. But the real dangers lie below – in the dark, repurposed ruins of the old empire, now twisted by time, magic, and madness.
At the heart of the district is the infamous Piazza Dei Rospi, where a grotesque marble well carved with the likeness of four hideous bullfrogs gapes wide. Any foolhardy adventurer is free to descend… though few return. The underground beckons with forgotten riches, haunted chambers, and lethal traps – as proven during brutal playtests and its bloody debut at North Texas RPG Con.
Whether used as a deadly one-shot or the launchpad for an extended campaign, The Well of Frogs is a dense, atmospheric module filled with secrets, ambushes, and sudden death. Its interconnected design makes it a perfect urban nexus for sandbox play.
Featuring artwork by Dorottya Fülöp (cover), Ferenc Fábián, Vincentas Saladis, Graphite Prime, the Dead Victorians, and the Robot Overlords, this adventure also includes a foldout map sheet with both city and dungeon layouts.
