The Lost Valley of Kishar is a 32-page wilderness adventure module for 6th to 8th level characters. Written by Gábor Csomos, this award-winning scenario drops your party into a sealed primeval valley teeming with danger, lost secrets, and strange beauty. Scattered across 28 keyed locations, players will uncover mini-dungeons, remnants of long-lost priestesses, and otherworldly visitors who predate memory itself.
The valley is ringed by impossibly steep cliffs, shaped as if by ancient hands. Within lie mysteries older than civilization: a radiant, enchanted tree whose fruit draws seekers from afar; ruins of forgotten temples; and a lurking presence from beyond the stars. From a great winged ape to a cursed mirror, from savage beasts to cosmic echoes — the valley holds glory and death in equal measure.
Originally written for a 2018 adventure design contest (and awarded first place), this revised and expanded edition features vivid illustrations by Peter Mullen (cover), Stefan Poag, and Denis McCarthy.
With a strong pulp-fantasy tone and an open structure ideal for exploratory play, The Lost Valley of Kishar can be used as a standalone module or woven into a greater wilderness campaign.
